Certain postures and positions can cause muscle imbalances and painful trigger points in dentistry and at the office. Many dentists, dental professions, and office workers experience tension, pain and eye strain from awkward posture, uncomfortable position, repetitious hand and wrist movement. They commonly report musculoskeletal discomfort, typically upper extremity disorders and neck pain.

Karen will provide these hands-on techniques:

  • Stretches and chair yoga to release tension and realign posture.
  • Craniosacral techniques to alleviate head/neck compression and TMJ pain, sacral compression and sciatica
  • Acu-Touch points to release musculoskeletal discomfort and eye strain
  • Trigger point methods to self-treat and manage pain and tension
  • Proper body mechanics to maintain alignment while seated and standing
  • Breathing and mindfulness exercises to de-stress and revitalize

 

 

 

 

 

 

Learn methods to reprogram your body and brain and let go of tension and pain!

 

We will work with several ailments in various areas of the body including:

  • Upper, mid and lower back issues
  • Legs (musculoskeletal and sciatica)
  • Eyes, Head, neck and shoulders
