What is Kundalini?

Kundalini, derived from Eastern traditions, is the Universal Love energy that lays dormant in the body at the base of the spine. Through Kundalini yoga, breathing, meditation and mantra (chanting), this asleep energy can become awakened Universal Love energy to enhance balance, healing and spiritual strength. Kundalini yoga opens new pathways in the nervous system and balances the endocrine system. It draws up a subtle pathway parallel to the spinal column, activating the chakras in succession. The objective of Kundalini practices is to raise the energy to the crown, (if the energy is strong enough), where it connects with the Universal light, bringing a sense of blissful, unconditional love. Kundalini is the yoga of “awareness” cultivating the creative spiritual potential to live from compassion and consciousness.
